ITM partner Cures Within Reach’s CureAccelerator is now accepting letters of intent to secure up to $250,000 in funding for projects focused on creating new repurposed treatments, diagnostic tools, and technologies for adult, adolescent, and child mental health conditions.
Repurposing can often make a quick, affordable, and effective impact on patients, but these kinds of research proposals often lack traditional investment incentives. Our international philanthropists are interested in the speed, high success rate, and efficiency of repurposing research. Projects submitted to this RFP may be immediately funded by one or more current CureAccelerator funders, and will also be used to encourage a large group of international funders of mental health research to focus their attention on repurposing opportunities at their February meeting in Europe.
Preference will be given to repurposing research using readily available treatments and diagnostics. Clinical trials are preferred, but final preclinical research that can quickly lead to a clinical trial will be strongly considered.
